When searching for a new house to call home, it can become so overwhelming to find the one that not only fits all your needs, but your wants as well. Brian and Brit Papka, owners and founders of B.P. Building + Design Co., have built their past four homes together. Through each different build, they became more inspired to start their own company. After Brian obtained his Contractor’s License, they decided to design a home that would integrate everything they learned from the previous builds. This home is located in the Oaks Equestrian Center of Lake City, FL. It sits on just over five and a half acres of beautiful land. The front exterior has several unique design characteristics, starting with the grand brick entryway that opens up to a large glass french door. The gas fireplace on the front porch makes the space very welcoming. As you walk up to the front door, you’ll notice the vaulted ceilings that continue into the foyer. Arched openings are found leading into the kitchen and first floor bedrooms. The kitchen stands out with its custom built cabinets topped with granite, which provide plenty of upper and lower storage. In addition to that, there is a custom built hutch with open shelving. The kitchen also has a walk-in pantry with open shelving and lower cabinets. Underneath the upper kitchen cabinets are hidden receptacles. The entire kitchen is complete with counter to ceiling backsplash. The center of attention is the large kitchen island seating up to six bar stools. Across from the island is the dining area. The vaulted ceiling separates this room from the rest of the main area. The tray ceiling and gold fixture add a unique touch above the dining table.
