Beyond what’s left of the stone pillars once the entrance to the legendary Hotel Rafael sits 51 Rafael Drive. Opening to the public in June 1888 and purchased by the infamous Baron von Schroeder in 1909. A blazing fire set by a begruntled employee finally ended its days. In 1949 the land was purchased and parceled, and Rafael Gardens and 51 Rafael Drive was established. Meandering through the stone pillars just up the hill, a classic mid-century gem, located in the quaint Dominican neighborhood just blocks from the Dominican University, restaurants, and shops sits 51 Rafael Drive. On the other side of the front door awaits a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom bungalow where charm meets style. The open floor plan has great indoor- outdoor flow. Natural light bathes the great room through floor to ceiling windows and three sets of French doors that open to the backyard. Views of the golden hills are the icing on the cake!
