Property Description

Tucked away in a private canyon a short drive from downtown Ojai, you will find a historical homestead site from the 1800s. The property offers a bit of natural paradise, a Bavarian- style mountain chalet with a year-round flowing stream from an uphill artesian spring. Overlooking the North Fork of Matilija Creek, this is truly a get-away to the serenity of rushing waters and birdsong. The custom-built home offers oak flooring throughout, 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and additional living space in a converted garage studio. Outside you will find a concrete patio with goldfish pond, and above a large koi pond, as well as several picnic areas. This property holds a lot of history and is truly one-of-a-kind. You must see it to believe it.
